Kanchanaburi - River Kwai

We took a boat trip up the gorgeous River Kwai with all of the lily pads starting to bloom.
Floating party boats are very popular with music and dancing in the evening.
Notice the Canadian flag? Someone else loves this area. There are many places to rent right on the river.
The bridge over the River Kwai was originally made of wood and rebuilt by the Japanese, using the prisoners of war. It was hit by allied aircraft in 1945.
"James Bond Boats" are used to take tourists up the river to the bridge.
This is an area we would love to return to and do a few days cruising the waterways.
