The Death Railway

The tourist train now crosses the bridge on the River Kwai.
You can catch the train at various stations and food and Thai products are sold on the train. Ralph was in seventh -heaven when the sugar donuts came around!
The railway was also constructed by the prisoners of war and many died of starvation and exhaustion.
The Kwai Noi River is beautiful with fields of tapioca and palms.
Train trestles were carved into the banks of the river.
