Surfers Paradise a 36Km strip of beach mainly for surfers because of strong rip tides.
Swimming is allowed in designated areas.
The 36Km strip is made up up of 5 different cities.
It is a section below the Great Barrier Reef. The Barrier Reef starts further up the coast and goes right up to Carins about 500Km.
